While many contractors chase only large, multi-month builds, our team has never lost sight of where we came from. In the early days of Gordon Highlander, it was all about quick-turn projects. Small jobs. Tight timelines. High pressure. We became experts at it.

Today, we still take on projects that might seem small on the surface but require an incredible amount of coordination and care.

It could be a two-week suite refresh or converting a conference room into two private offices.

“Delivering a quality project with that easy-button, white-glove service, that’s what we’re trying to do. Often, these projects are not large-scale, multi-month builds. But they require just as much attention because you’re working in occupied spaces, and everything has to run tight,” Josh says.

From noise control to after-hours scheduling, we work to minimize disruption and maintain a spotless environment. We coordinate subcontractors around tenant schedules, strategically staging trades throughout the day to minimize disruption and keep projects moving efficiently.

We even stage cleanings between work phases to make sure the building looks and feels professional every step of the way.

“It’s not about quantifying every conversation into a dollar amount. It’s about building a long-lasting relationship,” he says.

He recalls one example where a manager planned to cut skylights the next day without realizing the structural requirements.
